ENCAUSTIC NATURE STUDEIS:

I am drawn to painting dragonflies & butterflies: the intoxicating quality of color they possess; how it can be represented in a wax medium, with the undulating layers and transparencies of colors.  They also are a symbol of celebration and living in the moment.  The bears were another avenue for exploring the wax medium.
